Prep Transition Program
Family/school relationships are very important to us.
Get to Know you Meeting - Family/School relationships are very important to us. Our transition process will begin with all families being invited to book a ‘Get to know you’ meeting.
Story Time – All of our Foundation students are invited to a Story Time session as part of our transition program.
Parent Information Night - all Foundation families are invited to an information session to be held early in Term 4 to give you an overview of what to expect during your child’s first year at school.
Transition Session - New Foundation students are invited to attend school on four occasions during Term 4 as part of a School Transition Program. During these four sessions students will participate in planned activities in the classroom. Parents are welcome to stay for a coffee and a chat.
St Brigid’s offers a Prep and Year 6 Buddy Program. Students are buddied up with one or two Year 6 students who support our new prep students to transition into school life. They meet regularly to support positive peer interactions to promote values of caring for others, friendliness, respect, valuing difference, including others and responsibility.

Our students wear their St Brigid’s Uniform with a sense of pride. A team of volunteer parents run our Uniform Shop with our uniforms provided by PSW - School Uniforms. The Uniform Shop is open once a month with opening times and dates posted in the St Brigid’s Newsletter and on our Skoolbag App. Uniforms may also be ordered through the CDFPay Online Ordering system and these orders will be filled on a weekly basis. Students are expected to wear their correct school or sports uniform at all times. Please note that black school shoes are part of the school uniform.
The Tuck Shop is run by an external provider. It operates on Fridays. Our tuckshop offers both lunch orders and over the counter sales. All lunch orders are to be placed via the CDFPay online system. The Tuckshop is open for over the counter sales at recess and lunchtime. The maximum amount to be spent over the counter is $3.00.
Hear From Our Community
"It has a huge field that you can run around and do sports. I like to see my friends & be in the classroom."
"It's a really fun place to learn and make new friends everyday."
The staff are amazing, welcoming, very supportive and always have smiles on their faces. I am continually impressed at how well the teachers know all of the students and make them feel comfortable. It really is a lovely little community.
"We have Wellbeing Representatives and the teachers will help you solve problems."
"The sense of community and belonging at St Brigid's is second to none. Not only are my children's academic needs catered for, but their teachers have gone the extra mile to know and understand them individually, encouraging them grow and develop holistically. As a family, we have developed so many strong bonds with other families at the school because St Brigid's intentionally creates community through various events and initiatives. My children have grown in confidence and feel such a strong sense of belonging at St Brigid's."
