Our Beginnings

From humble beginnings as a tiny school, accommodating only 33 students at its outset in 1911, St Brigid’s has quickly gained popularity, attracting a reputation for its individual and progressive approach to teaching and learning. St Brigid’s now boasts over 200 students, with the majority of families situated in Mordialloc.

Our Patron Saint is St Brigid of Kildare who is the patroness of those who have a care for the earth, for justice and equality, for peace and reconciliation. She is a model for a contemplative life.

School Song

School Prayer

St Brigid Mary of Ireland

We ask for us all today

The courage to be God’s friend

Whatever the world may say.

The Grace to be strong and confident

The Grace to be kind and true

The Grace to be faithful to always

To God, God’s Mother and you

Amen
